Rawbare Wins Best D2C Brand of the Year at Adgully MAA Awards 2026
Rawbare has been named Best D2C Brand of the Year at the Marketing & Advertising Awards (MAA Awards) 2026, Kolkata Chapter, an Adgully initiative. The award was presented at CMOs' Charcha Kolkata 2026, held on 30 July 2026 at The LaLiT Great Eastern, Kolkata.
Top honour in the direct-to-consumer category
At the MAA Awards 2026, Kolkata Chapter, Rawbare took the top honour in the direct-to-consumer category. The awards were hosted alongside CMOs' Charcha Kolkata 2026, now in its fourth edition, which brought senior marketing and business leaders from across Eastern India together under the theme "East Code: Marketing to 400M, at AI Speed".
The MAA Awards honour brands, campaigns and agencies for measurable excellence in marketing and advertising. The Best D2C Brand recognition looks at how a brand builds directly with its customers: consistent digital communication, a memorable buying experience, and a presence across social platforms, creator collaborations and search that turns first purchases into long-term relationships.
“The gap we set out to close in 2022 was simple. Indian buyers were choosing between overpriced imported labels and street-market frames with no real UV protection, and nobody was building for the middle. This award belongs to the team that builds every frame around that promise, and to every customer who trusted a young Indian brand with their eyes. We take it as a signal to move faster.”

What the recognition reflects
Rawbare was founded in August 2022 as an Indian direct-to-consumer eyewear brand. The catalogue runs to more than 800 frames across polarised sunglasses, sports eyewear, computer glasses and kids' ranges. Every lens in the Rawbare sunglasses range carries 100% UV400 protection, frames weigh between 30 and 35 grams, and every pair is backed by a six-month warranty.
Sold directly through rawbare.com at prices 60 to 70 per cent below comparable luxury eyewear, the brand holds a repeat purchase rate above 40 per cent and a 4.9 average verified customer rating. Rawbare also operates an experience store in Andheri West and serves a loyal and growing customer base across India and abroad.
The win comes as Indian eyewear continues its shift from unorganised street retail towards certified, digital-first brands, a move Rawbare has positioned itself at the front of since launch.
Second MAA Awards honour in two years
This is Rawbare's second recognition at the MAA Awards. In 2025 the brand won the MAA Award for Lifestyle Brand Campaign. Moving from a campaign award to Best D2C Brand of the Year reflects how the brand has grown: the first recognised a single piece of work, the second recognises the whole business.
